His arm is wrapped loosely around the other as they lie together. Golden eyes looking over his frame, as if he doesn't quite believe that the muscle he has can be something one would want to lie on.

" I can get you a pillow. "

"It's you-- I found you-."

The voice wasn't familiar- not in the slightest. But the tone was. The familiarity that was in the way they were addressed. Even just those five words. Those eerily perfect green eyes staring at Fortune. Tears beginning to well up before the seeming stranger wrapped their arms around them.

No warning. No explanation. Just a tight and desperate hug. As if they'd slip away the second that Fate let go. And- they refused to let that happen.

"My lucky charm-."

"Oh, come now, I wasn't being serious~. I wouldn't take away your time. How rude would that be for me to do?"

He let out a soft chuckle, brushing part of his hair back before holding a hand out. Not in the way one would shake hands, but in a gesture more fit to kiss somebody else's. A soft smile his features as he looked down at the other.

"I do apologize if I'm overstepping. I simply had to meet you formally whilst I had the chance."

"Ohhh, you are a hunter. How intriguing."

Rhiannon has never met a hunter. At least, not a hunter who wasn't affiliated with the Wild Hunt. She was examining him curiously. And not even a fae... she didn't know people came in non-fae.

"I have never met a hunter."

"I suppose I just never gave it any thought..."

Really he'd been so enraptured in the joy he felt having a child around the home that he forgot such times came as a part of nature. He watched countless creatures who needed their young to fly off and make something of themselves. Heard stories from students he'd long since stopped teaching. And yet it was their daughter moving away and starting her own life that had him in a bit of a depressing mood.

"A hobby..? I guess I could go back to working on bikes and such...oh, Laurence-! Do you remember how she used to sit in the garage with me and try to bring all my tools?"

How easily he'd acquiesce to it. Really, it made their heart skip a beat. Or the mechanism that mimicked a human heart, rather. Still, their feelings were aflutter. They always were when Faustina found themselves close to Volfo.

"No- that is not the question. It is only an excuse to get you to come look around whilst I ask you the question."

But still they'd smile as he got up, gingerly reaching out to take his arm if he'd let them.

"It is...a bit personal. And I suppose I may come off...wrong, in asking it."

Really she got bored doing most anything else when she was left alone. What was there to do besides clean and hunt and cook? She quite literally was a glorified house wife, taking care of things while her beloved worked.

And how she laughed when she was picked up. It was such a sweet and simple gestured, but Alois adored it. Her arms wrapped around the other's shoulders as she kissed her sweetly, wings fluttering absently.

"I adore not having to do your job, really. Always dealing with the most annoying things. What would help you relax best, love? Anything you like, we can do."

"Frankincense...paying me a little visit..~?"

Really it was a surprise. A good one. Even if they hated to let such a thing show. Even if that grin they wore gave it away. Or would it? When was Divinity not smiling like a mad man. When were they not eager to see the only person that presented something fun to him?

He came down from his perch, all but floating given his control over the air around him. Getting close to the taller man as he wrapped his arms around him. As if he were some long lost lover. That grin on his face as one hand held the other's cheek.

"To what...should I owe...this absolute honor~?"
