Coffee Date
A starter for @lmjaem
It’s been an unfortunately long time since Sicheng and Jaemin have managed to get together; the former busy with training, and the latter busy with his studies—but they’d managed to make, and presumably stick to, plans to meet up today.
Sicheng wanders into the cafe they’d arranged to meet at, admiring the faux-rafters along its mahogany stained ceiling for a moment before trying to focus through the noise, a hurly burly of low chatter and mellow piano-based indie. Eventually he spots Jaemin sitting at a tall table beside a window, staring down at his phone, two steaming paper cups on the table before him, and begins to meander over, muttering an excuse me with a curt bow as he side steps between an ahjumma and a young couple as they wait in line.
He’s struck by how much older Jaemin looks for a moment, and wonders if it’s really been that long, or if it’s university sleeplessness that’s doing it; the other boy’s impression is a little less boyish than he recalls, and it’s a strange feeling as Sicheng realises just how long it’s been since Blackout signed him, and since he’s lived in Korea.
“This one mine?” he asks, sliding his satchel off of his shoulder to hang it over his chair, a grin parting his lips, “Sweet of you to order for me...assuming it isn’t cold yet.”
