Kick off the weekend with the right soundtrack
Five new songs to take you into the weekend, from a new iteration of Kid Cudi’s distinctively dark sound, Steve Aoki and former One Directioner Louis Tomlinson’s catchy collaboration, and Voice finalist Jacquie Lee’s raw ballad for her late friend singer Christina Grimmie. Also: rapper PARRI$ and Brooklyn indie group The Skins shares promising EPs.
“Just Hold On,” Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson
For his solo debut, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson teams up with international superstar DJ Steve Aoki for this undeniably catchy track, a surprisingly gentle mix of Aoki’s EDM backing and Tomlinson’s melodic boy band vocals.

'The Originals' actress tells ET the One Direction heartthrob is 'wonderful.'
Danielle Campbell can't get enough of her boyfriend, Louis Tomlinson, and we can't blame her!
ET caught up with The Originals actress at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event, presented by Pixhug with Vince Camuto, on Tuesday in Los Angeles, where she opened up about her relationship with the 24-year-old One Direction heartthrob for the first time.
"I think Louis treats me so well," Campbell gushed to ET's Katie Krause. "He's got his own job, and I have mine too, so I can understand where he's coming from, which I think definitely helps a lot."
"He's wonderful," she continued, "so I can understand the appeal from all the other girls."
Back in January, Tomlinson and his ex-girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth, welcomed their first son,Freddie (the two called it quits before Jungwirth gave birth). Campbell started dating Tomlinson last December, and she admits she loves nothing more than seeing her beau as a dad.
"He's wonderful," she said of baby Freddie. "I think Louis and Briana have done a great job in raising him, and he's one of the most special little boys, so they've done a great job -- he's stunning. He's got beautiful parents so, hard to argue with."
Campbell revealed that Freddie hasn't spoken any words just yet, but "he's getting there" and "making lots of noises."
And although the 21-year-old actress enjoys spending time with Tomlinson's little bundle of joy, she said she's "not quite" ready to have one of her own.
"I think there's a lot I want to do," she explained. "I have so much respect for Briana for everything that's she's doing. I think she's a wonderful mother."
"I think right now [Louis and I are] young and we're enjoying each other's company," she added, setting the record straight on engagement rumors. "He's been so good to me, and I care about him a lot."
It doesn't get much cuter than that!
