I'm sorry to hear that, and you're frighteningly right. I just got back from a year in Austria and people from home would ask if I ever felt unsafe or anything with the refugee situation and all and... No? I felt more in danger walking back from class at night in Bloomington than walking through Linz alone even later at night.
