For a casino, the place looked like an absolute disaster. Dust and debris everywhere, it was a little disappointing to check the place out. But that didn't really stop Komari from searching around. Broken down machines, destroyed rooms, coins and tables thrown around. Must have been some wild party. After a while, Komari found themselves staring at the floor in disappointment, kicking at the dirt until they heard a faint sound. Tilting their head, they noticed a figure not too far from where they stood rummaging through the rubble. Maybe they'd lost something before the place became such a wreck?

Nonetheless, Komari put on their sweetest smile before stepping closer and speaking up. Appearances were everything, even if they were some nobody.

They’ve done things far more intimate than this in the past so a mere kiss didn’t bother her in the slightest. So when he leans in and presses his lips against her cheek, she does not flinch or push him away. She does not question him about his purpose behind this simple action, either. There was no need to. After all, he had nothing to gain from doing this.

Rather, she’s grown to be somewhat fond of him. Or perhaps she was just being possessive, who knows? They were both difficult people, that much was obvious. It just made things all the more complicated. They could depend on each other for things, but they both knew that they couldn’t trust each other completely without the risk of being turned against or killed. Sadly, the other had to learn that the hard way by losing his wiener…

Her dainty lips curled into a playful smile as she looked at him through half lidded eyes, her fingers lacing themselves behind his neck. “You’re being quite affectionate today. That’s unusual.” She had thought he would be more cautious around her after the little stunt she pulled a few weeks back. Nonetheless, she’s not going to complain about the sudden attention she’s receiving from him. ”Did something happen?” Probably not but hey, she’s going to ask anyways.

Stroking his cheek with her thumb, she releases a light laugh before she leaned closer to his ear and purred,

”Don’t tell me you’re..hungry.”

Culture was something that had interested Kakyoin for many years. In fact, he prided himself on being able to identify the customs of many cultures. Truly, it was a topic that he found much joy in. With his arrival on the island, it was clear to see that the world had suddenly opened up, to put it lightly. Many creatures out of myth could be found on the island, causing quite the conflict of interest, as he had witnessed on his first evening here.

With this being said, however, the youth found this subject rather captivating. His curiosity was piqued as creatures from lands that he had never even heard of began popping about, and he was quick to take to the library for further information. Even now, he was in awe as he stared at an informative piece of literature, one found in the nonfiction section that, to be honestly, could only seem entirely fiction.

Giant cannibals, lands from the future, even other words were prevalent in these works. Whatever situation Kakyoin had found himself in... it certainly was an interesting one. Even now, he stood in front of one of the many bookshelves that lined the library, a book in hand as he tried to make out what seemed to be... some sort of language. In his assumed solitude, he would even mouth and try to sound out certain characters-- until a footstep drew his attention.

Embarrassing.

Deep blues lifted to meet the gaze of a man just taller than he... when did he get here, Kakyoin wondered? The thought alone would fluster him. How long had he been standing there? For a young man who found social interaction so daunting, this was quite the predicament.

"... My apologies." The book would be snapped shut and returned to its home on the shelf. He was never good at this sort of thing, was he? "I... if you'll excuse me." And with that, he would begin to make an attempt to step past this odd stranger.

Of course in canon there’s practically everyone on the ship but most especially Gareki, Nai, and Tsukumo. Here, it’d be them plus Atobe, Ai, and Gooey. He cherishes people too much so almost everyone is his “best friend.”

AKARI more than anybody else. But there’s also Hirato, and probably Jiki, Iva and Gareki sometimes concerning canon. Here, there’s … Tsukiyama, Joseph, Izaya, Robert, Nonon (sort of), and although normal Yogi hasn’t met her yet, Road. Probably other people but I can’t think right now.
