Hi OP! I love your axolotl lads! Rasputin is a stellar name. I just want to let you know that axolotls don't do well in gravel tanks. Because they sallow food whole they eat the gravel with it, and struggle to pass it. If too much builds up it can be deadly. Fine sand, tiles or nothing is safest for lotls!

It's actually not gravel, it's calcium carbonate which was also used in the aquarium that we bought the axolotls out of.

But I'll look into that further as well! I wanna make sure my boys are doing fine!
