Not sponsored, I just kind of love everything. You know those days where everything you put on just makes you feel like *you*? Today is one of those days. That's one of the best parts of getting rid of something like 75-90% of my wardrobe—I freaking LOVE everything I own. We packed for this month lighter than we ever had. Two @away bags (one medium because we wanted extra space to take home Japanese ingredients!) & one carry on + 2 @onabags camera backpacks + small purse, diaper bag, and the @babyzenstrollers yoyo. I feel like we could live indefinitely with what we have and need little else. Of course I need more for cooking and shooting for work, but not for our personal life. Feels good to live light. Do you give yourself permission to invest in your dreams? Or do you hold back out of fear? . . What are those dreams? Starting your own business? Writing a book? Building a home? Having your own television show? Finally doing the work to have your dream body & health? I want to know your BIG dreams! . . When I started 6 years ago, I dreamed of traveling the world, writing a cookbook, being in love, and having a beautiful home. Every time I got a job or a little extra cash, I threw it at my dreams. Ingredients, gear, software, courses, blog design, props, trips to build my portfolio, redoing my kitchen and eventually my house (okay, that's *still* a work in progress 🙈)...you name it. I always put my resources into my dreams whether I had $20 or $1000 or $10,000. And trust me, for a loooong time I was in the $20 range. But I just kept chipping away at my goal and lived on sweet potatoes and tilapia. Yep, that was my diet for like the first two years of blogging because it was what I could afford and seemed nutritious enough. . . So if I can do this, YOU can definitely do this! And I want to help. For years I've taught everything I know about photography & styling, social media, blogging, and creative business at my retreats.
