Here's a bit of Thanksgiving inspiration as the day fast approaches. This is a shot from a Thanksgiving feast with @krugchampagne that I creative directed + edited from abroad. A huge thanks + 🙌🏻 to our wildly talented team: stylist & florist @petalinefloral, food stylist @susan_m_rowe, and photographer @ericcharlespeterson for executing this beautiful gathering. It was so cool to see this all come together even with me on the other side of the world! We fly home from Tokyo tomorrow just in time for Thanksgiving at home. I've spent the day Eula wrangling, packing, and finishing up my EPIC set of travel presets inspired by Paris, Japan, Marrakech, and Greece. Some holiday table inspiration for you guys as Christmas fast approaches! We had a small Christmas dinner party this week with all of the people who have helped us out this year, and it was magical. It really does take a village and without the people who help us with the house, the business, and Eula, I would not be able to do what I do. . So if you ever get a case of the comparisons on Instagram, I want to be the one over here shouting: none of us is perfect, even if our brands feed is curated, that isn't real life! It's merely a sliver of a moment, 1/125 of a second frozen in post-processed time. . Real life is messes, sick days, missed deadlines, and Netflix. It's ordering pizza and knowing when to fold 'em. It's carving out beauty whenever and wherever we can, and making sure we don't miss the beauty in the journey, in the process. If you live for the finish line you won't be living at all. And you'll be sorely disappointed to find there is no finish line. So don't wait for tomorrow to be happy. Don't wait for perfect. And know that no one is perfect, least of all me. I am someone who knows how to ask for help when I can't be all things (which is basically all of the time!) So a big thanks to @danjnel & @linensandgrains, @alistickers & @jordansticker, @nataciar81 & @johnnycate for letting us borrow her! Without those homies, I'd be a mess and so would everything else!
