Where will the adventure take us? How can we ever know? - If 2020 and the COVID debacle has taught me anything it’s that, despite our best-laid plans, life has a funny way of shaking us out of routine and too much complacency. I was asked the other day what I do to recover from the “rough” days, and in a non-COVID year the answer would have been based on weigh points @paigewilhog build into the calendar each year. Get to our birthdays. Get to Comic Con. Get to our anniversary. Travel, and the anticipation of each trip is how I used to manage anxiety when things got tough, but 2020 had a different idea. Trips were cancelled, quarantines put in place, and the security of routine was lost. What I have learned from this year is to be more appreciative of the people that have been there to help me weed through the anxiety; to believe we can do it all on our own is a terrible mistake.
