Giving Directions to those in need & much needed watch: Lifeguard Season officially starts this Victoria Day Long weekend ... this is now the quietest part of what was an extremely busy day here on #SpanishBanks, #Locarno and #Jericho ...many families hunkered down at their #picnics #bbq (barbecues)or at nearby concessions (or home ...) #weather is very #summery #localmountains still have #snow #skiing ... the Grouse Grind is still@closed because of snow on the hiking trails ... so you can literally ski/snowboard swim/beach/volleyball, golf & or whatever sail/cycle - all in one day if you could possibly fit it in. Ok, in a weekend. Best May weekend in ages (after this past brutal winter we deserve a nice kick off to summer). (at Spanish Banks)

Park Affair at Sugarbush: Try, Try Again

On his album The Heist, Macklemore has a song called Ten Thousand Hours, where he shares his perspective on his career as a rapper. Referencing his education in art, he declares that “the greats weren’t great because at birth they could paint, the greats were great because they paint a lot.” In an earlier verse, he mentions Malcolm Gladwell, author of Outliers, a book that popularized the idea that with 10,000 hours of practice we can master any skill. Show off your skills at the What I Learned This Summer Rail Jam presented by The Killarney Irish Pub!

Registration is open to skiers and riders of all ages and will take place from 8-10am on the day of the event by the Information Desk in the Clock Tower Base Lodge and we'll be kicking off the show on Bull Run at 11am. The cost will be $20 to participate! Helmets are required for all competitors and participants under 18 will need a parent or guardian signature.
