What Hose Pipe Ban?

As you may know the hosepipe ban in the South of England begins today. LocalTraders is based in Staffordshire so we haven’t been be affected but I was actually quite surprised that there is a ban, especially this early in the year. We’ve had quite a few sunny days recently but the weather hasn't been what I call 'drought worthy'. It seems to be a running theme with this country, if there's a slight problem with the weather then everyone over exaggerates. Remember the snow problem earlier this year?

Other countries with worse weather than ours seem to get on fine without having to ban hosepipes or stocking up on grit. Whether you think it's due to climate change or companies putting profits ahead of improvements, I have a feeling this will continue for the foreseeable future.
