Colors: yellow, orange or brown. Golden-yellow amber is usually from evergreen pine trees. Amber can also occur whitish to pale lemon-yellow and brown to nearly black. Rare blue amber comes from the Dominican Republic. There is also rare green ambers and red colored ambers. Red amber is sometimes referred to as "cherry amber".

Chemical formula of Amber: Amber is composed of complex organic material without any definitive chemical formula. Its substance can also vary depending on its origination.
Metaphysical properties: Highly protective, promotes fertility, healing, increase confidence, mental clarity, and creative self-expression.
Since Amber hasn't been in steven universe as a gem we cant be really sure were she would be on the totem poll. The only organic gemstone we know about is pearl and pearls are used as slaves, so I would assume that Amber wouldn't be that high on the totem poll either. But we can still make a pretty good guess on her personality. She would be very protective of her friends and to anyone she would get romantically involved with. She would be mothering. She could have some sort of healing powers, but maybe they would just work for organic life, so she wouldn't be too over powered. She would be confident, calm, and be very creative.
