To restrict changes in Word documents, there is a "Restrict Editing" option in MS Word. With the help of the "Restrict Editing" option, one can put restrictions on formatting as well as on editing of documents. Under the head of Editing Restriction, there are other four options that are Tracked Changes, Comments, Filling in Forms, and No changes. Editing Restriction with No changes option - other users can not edit or formate in document Editing Restriction with Tracked Changes option - Other users can edit or delete content but all those changes are recorded and displayed.
