"When we are looking for validation, that will never satisfy us. When we are looking for affection, for love, a little bit of that will be enough to be complete." - Alejandro González Iñárritu — My all-time favorite trilogy and all-time favorite director, Alejandro González Iñárritu. The trilogy is about family and forgiveness set in different parts of the world. The first Mexican to win an Oscar Best Director and the first Mexican to win a back to back Oscar Best Director. He is known as the first Latin American to become Jury President of the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and was responsible for the “Parasite’s” overwhelming success and sweep in major film awards around the world. He is also known for making films about various human conditions which are depicted in his earlier films from 2000 to 2010. I do prefer his earlier films than the later ones. I found the later ones (“Birdman” and “The Revenant”) too commercialized to fit the American audience. Another favorite of mine is “Biutiful,” which to me is his last sensational independent film that was not profit-oriented and was nominated for Oscar Best International Feature Film in 2011. A Trilogy by Iñárritu : 2000 : “Amores Perros” - his first film. 2003 : “21 Grams” 2006 : “Babel” All of the above films were nominated both at Cannes and Oscar under different categories. But his later films “Birdman” and “The Revenant” yielded more successful outcomes, bagging Best Director and Best Picture at The Oscars and major film awards. — "To question your own process is a necessity. If you don't question yourself, it's impossible to improve." - Alejandro González Iñárritu — Movie Posters and Photo : CTTO Antonio Olmos — #LockdownFilms #FamilyFirst #LastOfASeries https://www.instagram.com/p/B-jj7_pnhEthjMa5ONaldpe8PAdS1jQzmTdphs0/?igshid=zk2jfip3udwu
