How I feel about this character: He's amazing and he makes me feel so many things when he's on screen. It's honestly very hard to explain. I adore the way he makes me sad and heartbroken and furious and happy and proud. Fenris comes a long way from the person he is when he arrives in Kirkwall to the person he is at the end of Dragon Age 2. Seeing him in the comics is like a blow to the head except pleasant, because I see how far he's come and there's no describing the happiness that fills me seeing how steady he is and the person he’s grown into after everything that happened to him. He's just a very strong character, and I admire him quite a bit.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Mostly Anders tbh. I'm also a pretty big Fenhawke and Fenhanders shipper, but I tend to like him more with my Hawke than other people's Hawke's, which usually isn't a problem when I’m reading fic for any other Dragon Age character lol. I think it's probably because he was my first da2 romance.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Fenris and Isabela have such a great friendship, they're so perfect together. And honestly I love their romantic relationship tons as well. Also Fenris and Merrill!! I would kill to see them more friendly with each other :(

My unpopular opinion about this character: Idk if this is unpopular, but Fenris can be a bit of an asshole. Fandom tends to infantilize him a lot, and sometimes it's difficult to see his personality stripped away because he's the fandom favorite (and ableism and racism are so heavy in the da fandom too. the treatment of his character by the writers and by gamers is often incredibly gross). He deserves better.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I love his character arc over the games and the comics! It's mostly my problems with Dragon Age 2 writing in general that makes me say he should have gotten a more complex story and character progression in that game. Some of his reactions to things feel quite ooc for where he should be at in his development, but that's true for a lot of the da2 party members. The time skips really fuck things up. I'd also love to see him in future games. I think it would be really cool, especially with how much he's changed since da2.
