my partner gave me this beautiful seashell locket for my birthday, and i decided to use it for a spell. some red candle wax (red for courage strength and power) (watermelon scent For Fun) and an urchin spine collected from the tanks at work (protection from evil influences).

Lockets are used in a variety of spells because they serve as elegant charm bags. The chain they hang from also connotes that locket spells are binding and lasting. For the most part though, locket spells are used in love spells; to keep a loved one close, and to encourage faithfulness and prosperity.

However, locket spells are also great for curses – especially on people who have seriously wronged you. This curse is only to be used on the worst kinds of people (i.e. murders/rapists/abusers).

For this curse you’ll need:

A silver pin

A small piece of paper (a scrap of paper that they wrote on would be best if you can get it)

Your blood (if you were the victim) or the blood of whomever was hurt

A locket

For the best results, this curse is to be performed on the night of the new moon since the point of this curse is to trap them in eternal darkness.

If you choose to use blood (you don’t have to) you won’t need to charge the locket but it also means that the curse is for life (if you clearly state when the curse will end; i.e. once they have shown repentance for what they did, the curse will continue until it has run its course). 

If you use ink instead, the locket will need to be charged every month on the new moon. If you forget to charge it then the curse will slowly fade.

First, pierce your pointer-finger with a silver pin and write their name with your blood (or the blood of those they hurt) on a small square of paper.

State their name (full name if you know it) and their crime (i.e. _______ murdered/raped/abused ________ and for that I curse you). Fold up the paper and place it inside the locket.

Once it’s closed, think or say the following words:

“For what you did to me and mine,

You shall suffer the curse of time.

In this locket you shall stay,

Unable to see the light of day.

In eternal darkness you shall remain,

Until all you know is everlasting pain.”

Now is when you should state when the curse shall end (if you choose to set an end to your curse): i.e. “Once ________ has shown true remorse for their actions and they sincerely regret what they did, this curse shall lift.”

The curse is now in place. You can wear the locket around your neck or lock it in a curse box (iron is best) until the curse has ended. If you wish to end this curse yourself, open the locket and take out the piece of paper with their name on it. Burn the paper under the light of the full moon and say:

“For _____ (months/years) you have stayed,

In this locket and have paid,

For what you did to me and mine,

You have suffered the curse of time.

No longer are you trapped in darkness,

(First Name/Last Name) is now harmless.”

 Once the paper has burnt to ash, say:

 “__________, I release you from this curse.”
