When Hayley came back, it was with a cloud of confusion, anger and pain but also hopefulness and excitement that filled her mind. She was once at peace, with her husband, friends and family on the other side. She even got the chance to meet her birth parents and truly get to know them and where she came from. While she loved watching her daughter grow into the woman she was becoming, she missed Hope every day. But despite that pain, that missing piece she felt every day without her daughter, she was scared when she came back. She didn’t know how she was walking the earth again or how long she would remain. Which is why she was scared to see her daughter again. Every part of her yearned to lay her eyes on Hope once more, but she didn’t want to possibly get her hopes up that she was back for good.
Instead, when she first realized she was resurrected, Hayley decided to go to a safe house hidden in the bayou. She hoped no one would find her there and that she could take the time she needed to gather her thoughts before she decided exactly how she should handle her possible second chance at life. She wondered if that meant that Jackson, and all her other loved ones were back as well. But her biggest worry was how it would effect her only child. She couldn’t stand to break Hope’s heart a second time with her death.
Unfortunately, Hayley was starting to get hungry. And she knew should couldn’t hide in the bayou for much longer without feeding. The hybrid knew that the reason she chose not to stock by blood in the safe house was due to the possibility of it spoiling and she was running low on what little supply she did have. But Hayley knew she just wasn’t ready to join the world of the living yet. Which left her wondering… what do I do now?
