Uno Shoma lands 5 quadruple toe loop in FS “I actually intended to do 8″

The rehearsal of the Ice Show “Friends on Ice” took place the 24th in the skate center of Yokohama, world silver medalist and Toyota employee Uno Shoma (19) skated his Short Program, Vivaldi’s “Winter” and his Free Program “Turandot”.

In his Free, he landed 5 quadruple toe loop, including 4 consecutively. “I didn’t forgive myself for the step out in the short so I did it 5 times in the Free, I actually intended to do it 8 times but it was too hard so I changed it to triple axel, which I failed”

Toward the Olympics: ”I don’t know what the Olympics are yet, if I get there, I want to cherish what I feel and connect to the experience.” he shyly smiles.

His first competition of the season will be at Lombardia Trophy, Bergamo, Italia from the 14th to the 17th september. (x)
