Hello gifter!

Thanks so much for working on my requests!  I figured I’d just say a little bit more here than what was already in the AO3 forms because I filled them out in kind of a rush.  IDK how long this’ll be.

So, you probably already know, since you got a link to this, that my requests were Gamkar, Dirkrezi, and Dirkjane.  Kind of an odd trio but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I’ve already given you a few ideas on how to go about these in my requests which I want to reiterate are TOTALLY OPTIONAL.  Sometimes I have smart ideas and sometimes I really do not, and you might have a better one.  Totally optional.

So this post is going to be focused more on the generalities of what I like in the ships and maybe a few examples if I can find ‘em?  We’ll see.  I haven’t thought this post through yet.

First one: Gamkar:  OK. So basically, whatever you do with this I will be happy.  Blatant mischaracterization? Check.  Really, really weird AU?  Check.  Self indulgence?  Check.  I read/look at art of both of those all the time and I love every single one.  I wanna make it clear that things like pale kinks and other things like that are not by any means necessary.  I would not enjoy fics/pics without all the weird things I’ve listed any more or less than I would with.

Moving on: Dirkrezi:  This one is actually a new ship for me.  I saw some art of them today and I think it may have been meant to be platonic, but I can’t help thinking of them pale now.  They have the same kind of mostly thinky, but when stuff needs to get done, it is getting done Immediately.  I think Terezi would be able to catch some of Dirk’s more manipulative tendencies and they both could comfort/wallow with each other when one gets too sad-thinky.  Again, weird AU’s welcome.  It might be a new ship to me, but I have absolutely no problem skipping straight to the old and weird phase.

Lastly: Dirkjane:  They are so cute.  So cute.  Look at my children I love them.  That’s probably too many links, but I got excited.  If you don’t want to open all those, I don’t blame you.  But pale DirkJane is a quality ship, just saying.  This one ended up being shorter than the other ones, but that doesn’t mean I love it any less, I just can’t think of anything else to say.

I think that’s all I have to mention...  At least that I can think of.  It was more than I was expecting to write here.  If you didn’t click through every last (or even one) link, I really don’t blame you and that’s completely fine.  I just thought it would be nice to provide some inspiration material?  IDK...  Before I forget, I just want to make it clear that I own none of the works I linked, but they are all amazing.  However, copying or going off those too closely would probably be an infringements of the original creator’s work.  I just provided them as, as I said before, inspiration.  I hope it’s not too weird to link other creators’ work here...

Anyways, thank so much for reading!  This was really long and not all that informative!  Did I do this right?  We’re just gonna have to hope so.  Thanks so much for working on my requests!  I look forward to seeing my gift!

P.S.  I almost forgot that I mentioned a disney AU in one of my prompts, and I need to tell you that one time I drew Karkat and Gamzee as the princess and the frog with Tiana’s gown and Naveen’s laid back outfit and it was kind of amazing.  I never finished that one and I need to sometime soon.

[EDIT]  I kinda realized I never actually left real actual prompts for Dirkjane and Dirkrezi ahah.  SO I’ll just leave some here.

DirkJane: Royalty AU where Jane is the Crown Princess.  Calm, collected, responsible; everything her kingdom and her dad, the king, could possibly ask of her.  But eventually, as she gets older and more responsibilities are given to her, she buckles under the pressure, and Dirk is there to comfort her and make sure she can get the through the day (or night of the Royal Ball™ for that extra dramatic flair).

Dirkrezi: Post SBURB AU where Dirk starts self isolating because, really, now that all his friends have lots of other friends, better friends, in this world, why should they have to deal with his crap?  Through happenstance or something, Terezi bumps into him one day and they get to talking... (and convincing Dirk that even though he might not be perfect, people still want to see him).

OK, I have actually fulfilled minimum expectations now, for requesting these things.  Again, I don’t know how many times I’ve said this, but these prompts don’t actually have to be used at all.  Again, thanks for reading all this.
