If I was writing the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen I’d change everyone’s characterisation so much

Mina Harker would be a sorrowful widow with a hatred of the supernatural. Since she’s the youngest she’s the most modern and resourceful

Captain Nemo would be an explorer whose love of exploration and justice makes him the team’s resident idealist

Allan Quartermain would be a snarky anti colonialist with a love for African occult practices. His romance with Mina is centred around showing her that the supernatural isn’t inherently evil

Edward Hyde would be a small angry cockney with a horrible temper and a love for vice and villainy. He appears in shadow a lot and uses a gun. Jekyll wouldn’t appear.

Griffin would be an over the top villain prone to long speeches and comic relief in just how over the top he is.
