The longan farms are least affected by industrialization in my home village in Fujian. As new factories are being set up everywhere, people have started moving their deceased relatives' graves under the longan trees. The longan farms have gradually become the village's graveyard. With the expanding urban area of the nearby town, the village's last resort might be diminishing in no time.
