“Are you almost ready?” Logan calls making you jump.
“You scare way too easily,” he chuckles putting his arm around you. He’s not currently vlogging making him so much more chilled. You play punch him while laughing. You’re currently staying at his flat while yours is being renovated.
“You wanna have a go at me?” he asks getting a little hype. He gets out those massive boxing gloves turning on the camera.
“So Y/N is being downright disrespectful. Logang, you know I can’t have this. There’s only one way to settle this,” he says turning to you with a smile. Logan is probably your best friend and any other night you would’ve been down for this, but you have a date and you’re already running late.
“Did you need me to drive you?” he asks realising that you need to get going.
“Unless you want me to drive your car?” you say teasing and he immediately heads for the door. Later on, when he drops you off there’s a short moment where he looks like he’s about to say something important. But then the moment passes and the joking Logan is back.
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” he winks before driving off. You sit down inside the restaurant and wait. And then you wait for an hour. The waiter comes over a couple times asking if you’re ready to order and it’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever tried. You text your date waiting another half hour but there’s no reply. You’ve never understood people who arrange a date and then not show up.
“Fuck it,” you whisper under your breath grabbing a taxi outside. You don’t want to go home to tell Logan this but you also don’t want to stay outside all night. So you decide to go to his place and face him. Maybe he won’t even ask about it, you think hopefully as you enter the building.
“You’re home early,” is the first thing he says when you enter the flat.
“Yeah, wasn’t my type,” you lie through gritted teeth. Of course, Logan suspects something is up.
“Y/N, did he do something to you?” He puts his arms around you.
“It’s more what he didn’t do. You know, like show up.” You feel yourself tear up even though you don’t want to cry over some stupid guy.
“I’m sorry. You deserve better than that, sweetheart. I would never do that to you,” he whispers lifting your head with two fingers. He’s staring into your eyes and you feel something twitch in your stomach - it’s a nice feeling.
“What are you doing?” you whisper as he leans closer to you.
“Well, I’m trying to kiss you,” he whispers back chuckling quietly.
“What are you waiting for then?” He kisses you immediately making you gasp. It feels so right and you can’t believe you haven’t done this until now. He moves you to the couch where he cuddles you. Kong jumps up and licks Logan’s face.
“Kong, now is not the time to be a savage,” he complains.
“I never thought I’d hear you say that,” you laugh earning a grin from Logan.
“There’s something I need to tell you. We’ve been friends for years now and I sort of developed this thing for you. But I didn’t want to make it weird so I kept quiet,” he says intertwining his fingers with yours, “but I’m saying it now. I am in love with you. So how about I take you on a date. I promise I’ll show up.”
“I’d love that.”
