Day 5: your favorite holiday

Caregiving tips for new carers!

Universal caregiving tips:

Ask the person your caring for and discuss boundaries, both yours and theirs.

Make sure you're in a good headspace before taking care of them, you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself!

Find what nicknames help them regress, what they call you and you call them!

Look for themed food/drinks to make them and/or for them to make(if its online/long distance)

Set aside time for your little/pet, treat them with kindness, respect, and care.

Never raise your voice/yell at them, most tend to be more sensitive when regressed.

Help create a safe environment, help them make their space safe and comfortable when they regress.

Find them worksheets and coloring sheets of their interests or that are similar to their regression.

Find shows and games you can enjoy together or they can watch/play alone.

If you're able to, take them out to parks, the zoo, aquariums, or other fun experiences!

Learn what their non-verbal ques mean, and what their body language means!

Physical comfort does a lot for many regressors, but make sure to ask first!

Make them/help them make a playlist to listen to while regressed!

If they go non verbal make them communication cards of what they regress to if they need/want them

Food grade silicone chew toys

Agere caregiving tips:

If theyre comfortable with it, baby talk them. As well as going along with their babbling(if they babble), act like you can really understand them and be engaged with them!

If they have a hard time making decisions while regress make a wheel to help them decide snacks/meals/drinks to make it easier for them!

Come up with stories regarding them such as "once a upon a time there was little prince/princess who [their traits]"

Children's plates/utensils/cups

Story books & Sensory books

Petre caregiving tips:

Play animal jam with them!

Watch animal documentaries about their favorite animals/bug/creatures

Make kemonomimi/therian gear together if able

do quads(if capable) together and or help them learn to do quads

Learn fun facts about their petre type and teach them to your regressor

Gear ideas:

Animal food dishes

Collar

Pet bed

Paw gloves & socks

Animal masks

Tails and/or ears
