main difference between "latine" and "latinx" is that the former was created by and is used by actual latinos from Latin America, while the latter is online USAmerican idioticy.
main similarity is that they're both useless grammatically-wise, although tbf most people only see "latino" in the male sense (or at least here in Brazil they do), so to me it's not really a bother when non-binaries call themselves latine

Like I keep saying "latine" works linguistically even if the word is redundant, we got lots of those in English so it'd just be rude to get upset about others doing it too.
Better to avoid confusion and all, like how burrito can be a small burro or dinner depending on the context.

The one person I actually get into serious conversations about all of this stuff is with the Latine thing too, simplifies things a whole lot.
If it works in the language creating new words is just fine, but shifting the language to fit your linguistic preference is not just fine.
