what mostly got me into ryuloki was
demon theming x god theming
similar interests (both into things that give them adrenaline rushes, movie series involving people being killed/eaten by a reptilian monster, i could go into deeper detail if i have time to write a doc or smth)
similar but contrasting philosophies (dislike of being bound by expectations, shidou’s focus on base human desires vs loki’s thing about being beyond humanity, etc)
they apparently have the same blood type (AB) which are typically compatible with other AB’s
i know damn well they were charles’ acting parents during the NEL n no one is taking that from me
i can’t be entirely sure but i think loki might actually have spent more time around shidou than sae by virtue of meeting him first during bllk’s world 5 matches and the extended proximity during the NEL
shaking this back and forth like a feral animal this means so much to me,,, oh my goodness I get it now
the demon x god theme is acc one of my favouriteee dynamics and is also one of the big reasons I got into ryukai, I eat this one up every time - very big draw for me personally
also them acting as Charle's parents is so cute ??? ☹️☹️☹️☹️💔💔💔 I've always thought it was fun to treat them like his dad's during the NEL but I don't know how i never made the connection that they could be married instead of just coparenting. Loki being the stricter parent while Shidou's the one that sneakily gives him ice cream before dinner ohh my heart 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
i never really thought about it but they definitely have spent more time together than Shidou and Sae, though the things those two were getting up to in that arc were so ludicrous I don't blame people for remembering that more. I think Loki in general deserves wayy more love and attention from the fanbase though and more people need to tap in to rarepairs with him.
