8 & 49 :*
8. What would you say is your best quality?
i dithered abt this in the same way i always do questions that ask me to be kind to myself, but i think my first thought was right and i’m gonna say - my wonder.
somewhere in me, always and forever, will be a little starkid that climbs a fence to sit on a roof to be close to the sky, to bring closer the smallest, brightest, most brilliant dots into bigger and bigger worlds. there’s always gonna be a me to imagine stories and conversations, to build a moment as vast as my arms can stretch wide. my armspan is always gonna be bigger than i am tall. i’m always gonna ask what if! with an exclamation point.
and i think that’s rather good, actually <3
49. Where’s the most magical place on earth?
hmmmmm. i would argue, it’s a shade of a place that you see growing all around the world. you know it, i’m sure, lolily: its! gardens!
gardens are the most magical place on earth bc they at once hold the splendor of undisturbed nature close in a music box we can peer into whenever we want! to be reminded, to be comforted, to be close to just a smidgen of its beauty and simultaneously! gardens hold statements of potential. tomato vines of hope, bluebells of belief, soft churned, wet dirt that whispers Growth, growth will always come to those who tend to it.
some examples of this place:
munich, the englischer garten
toronto, allan gardens
forgotten roadside from childhood trip to kansas: bluebonnets and prairie-fire took over the land and crawled onto the road for miles, for memories
salzburg, mirabell palace gardens
that kitchen with a sink window and a gold afternoon haze that everyone takes a picture of using a different reality filter
texas, my windowsill
illinois, your home
