I personally never envision Obito as a bottom either. It might be because I project myself on to him and if he’s portrayed as a bottom, I feel like that’s a personal insult and also an attack, but he never struck me as a bottom.
Since I only ship him with Deidara, even though Deidara does have the potential to be a top, he won’t be doing any of that with Obito. Relationships like that happen in real life too. People who can switch does most of the bottoming when they get in a relationship with someone who is more straight than gay (when they’re bisexual or pansexual or whatever-else-sexual).
Anyway, this is also why I don’t like when people tag my T/ObiDei posts as DeiTobi or DeiObi. I also don’t read other T/ObiDei fanfics for this reason.
