I actually still can't get over the VGU. I think the worst part is that? Tbh?? I've never even been particularly attached to League Viktor😭 but I'm still really upset and miss him dearly. IDK?? EVEN IF HE WASN'T MY FAVOURITE? I STILL LIKED KNOWING HE WAS THERE?? THAT HE EXISTED?? I liked being able to engage with league lore, thinking "Ah yes, while my blorbos are doing this, off in Zaun, there's this little repressed gay robotic freak who breaks 20 medical protocols a day ^^". I just feel like League Viktor filled out such a specific niche?? Like, no one else in League was the weird dubious ethics transhumanist robot guy. Meanwhile I feel like mages, while uncommon in Arcane, are like a dime a dozen in Runeterra and League the game itself
I think it's also the fact I just genuinely find his old lore more compelling than what arcane did (which honestly stripped him of so much agency, I feel like we only really saw him in the last 5 minutes). Again, I like Arcane in a vacuum but the choice to make it the main canon and just nuke league viktor out of existence is so frustrating
