Taster of Olympia playing London rivals Great Dane Handball is a very popular Olympic sport which is predominantly played in mainland Europe, Africa and Asia.
It is an indoor sport with seven players on each team. Players need to be all-round athletes as the sport combines speed, agility, strength and accuracy. Imagine a mix between basketball, football and a bit of rugby and you're basically there.
Games last sixty minutes, divided into two halves and teams are allowed unlimited substitutions.
All of this makes handball the second fastest indoor sport after ice hockey!
Since being founded in November 2004, the club has gone from strength to strength and the Women`s first team recently won the EHA League 2012\2013
