I read 100 pages of an 800 page book yesterday. It stands to reason that I could finish the book in 8 days if only my brain would let me keep up that pace, but I'm afraid that the enthusiam isn't constant...

Guys I'll be reading War and Peace next till December. Each year I challenge myself with a Tome. 2023 was The Count of Monte Cristo, 2024 was The Brothers Karamazov and this year will be War and Peace. Wish me luck, I feel like I'll need it. If you want to, you can comment something I'll only understand later :)
The Legendary Master’s Wife
Author: Yin Ya/ 尹琊
Chapters: 713 chapters + 18 extras
Summary:
After an explosion, You XiaoMo finds that he is now a probationary disciple of the TianXin sect. However, he is one with dubious potential, so just when he starts to adapt to his new circumstances, he receives a piece of bad news. If he is unable to produce the required result after half a year to become an official disciple of the TianXin sect, he would be driven out of the sect.
While You XiaoMo is going all out to make medicines and earn money, he runs into Ling Xiao. To his horror, he later discovers that Ling Xiao is actually someone cloaked in human skin.
Rating: 9.6/10
I have only read the first book of the quadritology and I'm starting the second, but I really like this story. The adventure have just began but I can assure you that XiaoMo is a great character, with great "personality" according to Ling Xiao, you know what I mean :3.
Ling Xiao is another interesting character with a really long story and lots of secrets but he's easy to understand, at least, when he's with XiaoMo.
The only reason I am not giving this story a 10 out 10 is the translation. The one who did it is very good and I would like to thank them for translating this incredibly long masterpiece, but in some parts the way the story is translated gets a bit confusing.
Anyways, if you are looking for a fun book filled to the brim with magic, fantastic beasts, lovely characters, mysteries and love, this is for you!
This is fantastic and I wish this exact thing had happened at some point...
me: *reads 10 pages*
me: WOW I am such a bookworm! living the booklife! so cozy! so motivated to read! books!!!
Recsmas 2018
Day 14: A long book
The Aeronaut’s Windlass (Cinder Spires #1) by Jim Butcher
I listened to this as an audio book during a really long road trip at the beginning of this year. It’s an interesting world with quite fascinating characters (I really loved the cat).
Recs-mas 2017 Day 14: a long book
Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1)// George R R Martin While not the longest book in the series, the first book of A Song of Ice and Fire clocks in at a respectable 292,727 words. This book is freaking long. I think the reason it took me a month to read it was that I was reading over a hundred pages a day that last few days. It was a little slow, with the main story somewhat boring compared to the subplots setting up future books, but I liked it. Good old gory historically-based fantasy, there’s a reason it’s famous.
