Do you think that Alfons is beautiful?

I've never quite thought of him like that.
I've always had trouble judging beauty... but even with his traits, there's something about Al that I'm very attached to.

Remember 🪞)#elbert never asks if al is beautiful. why? my guess is that he always has him#while things like butterflies can escape from his grasp al's presence is constant and he is never running away#yk that one part of al's path where he leaves like a cat and el is all calm like “ah that's normal he'll come back” he is confident -#- that al will never leave him#but elbert IS likely to admire loyalty#and another thing is al's backstory with the cat “i love you so you will never leave me”#while i don't think elbert knows about the cat like roger does he understands the feeling of being defenseless and alone (parental neglect#now the main reason he's looking for beautiful things is as a gift for cecelia#but kate is the first time he tries to be a little greedy for himself so it arises as a form of affection#so if alfons is similar he does believe al is beautiful#i forgot what exactly about kate that he likes but long story short he might think al is “beautiful” but not in the item way#one last thing i thought of the scene they met and while “am i beautiful?” traces back to cecelia#but yk. smth smth unconscious smth mirror smth in a way he was also asking if al is beautiful#this is a neutral interpretation but they do love each other to an extent. ut it's not simply said in words like “platonic” and “romantic"#but if you think about it the queen only asks if she's beautiful not the mirror 😢 the mirror is the tool that she uses to ask of beauty
