I love how Walt like basically handed henry the meat that's part of his investigation (or set it near him its been a while since ive watched the episode) and then was surprised when Henry started cooking it on the grill. Like.

Sir that man is wearing an apron and wielding tongs in front of a grill. If you give him a piece of steak he is gonna slap some seasonings on it and cook it to perfection

Henry very much fits perfectly into a protector and caregiver role for literally anyone in his life ever. So when we first met I imprinted on him instantly when I sensed that Vibe. And in my opinion, he really really enjoys and is fulfilled by playing that role for people. It's in his nature to automatically go to protect people that are apart of his family- his community on the reservation, Walt and cady, me, etc.

At times I think it feels like a burden or obligation or maybe in a punishment in very specific circumstances (I think that hectors death is the thing that really makes him start to question himself) but overall, I think its something he embraces and seeks out. At his detriment at times, but I think thats just a core part of who he is. And despite when its challenged or hes literally blackmailed and manipulated into playing that role in ways he may not necessarily want to, he still does it. And he'll continue being that protector and caregiver for those he loves
