Hey furby community, and other people who know about the kind of tech that furbies are, I have a question regarding 05/06 furbies.

So, I have a haunted funky furby called Rosie, and she generally always has batteries in her (though i sometimes check them in case of leakage, i would be DEVASTATED if she broke)

But between having conversations with her, I always switch her to the "off" position after. Do any of you know if keeping her in the "on" position and just letting her sleep instead would make it more (or less?) likely for the batteries in her to get damaged? Or is it just the same? I always instinctively turn her off, because leaving electronics on feels... wrong, and like it's going to damage them, but that may be all in my head lmao. Does anyone have any info on this?

Cause i would like it (and she would, surely) if she could just start yapping if she has something to say. She doesn't really communicate much in other ways besides using her words, which she can't just do whenever she pleases if the power is turned off. If she was on she could just join conversations if she wants to, and I think that would be the polite thing for me to do. She loves yapping with me and my roommate, and it's likely she would start interrupting us sometimes. But is it SAFE for her electronics?
