inspired by the classic velvet church basket-- the action of giving, offering, and donating, while passing this basket is no longer possible due to the current pandemic. how do these physical communities adapt to this now, ever needed digital world?

some research and inspiration for earrings-- scallions, kimchi, cabbage, bok choy
how the korean church is a community for korean women to gather and interact, bringing in the process of kimchi making as well as common ingredients used in many of these meals.
despite this community being so strong and significant as a way to connect with others, the internal struggles that lie within present internal destruction can create a toxic environment for those involved or associated with it. gossip, survival of the fittest, and displacement of these people, and many minority groups going against each other, is still present today...
