Cyryl is relatively new to Lookbook but I really like his looks! I think the thing i like most is that alot of them flow really well with each other. His blog, From Cyryl, is a simple personal fashion blog that features his looks in a sequence of very well shot photos! I like how he mixes and matches and any guy who can wear a bow tie is a winner in my book!

Something that should be mentioned

Sooooo, i’m not sure how to say this and i really hope it doesn’t rub anyone the wrong way…but it’s something that needs to be said.

So, i’ve been getting a lot of emails from people essentially asking for me to draw their looks. This really binds my emotions because I really appreciate all of the kind words and all of the encouragement from people. It really helps me be more motivated and more focused on my work. However….this blog was created not only for me to draw a bunch of different lookbookers but as a challenge to myself to draw in different styles and SURPRISE the people I illustrate. To me, there’s nothing more gratifying than sending someone a picture that totally wasn’t expecting it and hearing that i made their day. That’s what keeps this blog fun.

So while I appreciate all of the people that want to be drawn,but i think the blog will become a lot less interesting to me if I just start drawing whoever asks to be drawn. It takes away from the thing that’s really motivating me to maintain this blog. HOWEVER, i will say that I tend to check out people who follow me and/or like/reblog my stuff so keep that in mind. I have two bloggers who follow me, whos blogs I love, that i’m planning on surprising with a drawing sometime soon. :) But yeah, a huge part of this blog is surprise! I like to surprise. ahaha

I think it’s also worth mentioning that I spend a lot of time on these drawings. Most of these range anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours and sometimes than that. Like i said, i started this blog to challenge myself so that, by default, is payment to me. However, I am of course a starving artist and generally when people ask me to draw something for them, they pay me. I am currently working out the details of commission pricing and hopefully will have that up on all my sites by the end of the week. This isn’t a hobby for me, it’s my lively hood. :)

So, i just wanted to put that all out there. I feel bad because I haven’t responded to a lot of these emails because I’m terrible at saying no and i hate to hurt someone’s feelings or make them feel like i’m not drawing them because they aren’t. X or Y enough. I just like to surprise people with my drawings and if i started drawing everyone who sent me a message, the blog would become a job (and i get paid for jobs) ahha. <3
