WE’RE MOVING! PLANS WELL UNDERWAY FOR THE RETURN OF LOOMINUS FESTIVAL.

The countdown to Loominus Festival is well and truly on, with just over two months to go until one of the most exciting events in the local calendar. With a line up packed full of some of the UK’s hottest breakthrough acts, local acts from Cheshire & unsigned acts, today we are delighted to clear up the rumours and speculation that we’ve heard going around and OFFICIALLY announce that we will be moving into our new home, West Park in Macclesfield.

After many months of discussions and organizing we finally decided to take the leap and go for it. We believe that this relocation will enable us to offer you the bigger, better and more exciting experience we have been promising! Loominus Festival was fantastic last year and brought lots of people into the town.

Many people will be pleased to read this announcement and will be looking forward to the big day, however there will be a few people that will be disappointed by the news. Obviously it does mean that regrettably, Market Place won’t have a big event on the day. We can ensure you that this decision was not taken lightly and we believe that we have looked into every avenue possible to us to avoid this happening and whilst with our deepest regret we were unable to provide something large scale in Market Place on this occasion, this is something we most definitely hope we can return to the area in future years. Our long term aim is to completely take over the town and have many areas of live music and entertainment.

For an event this size to grow, we needed to change the location.. why? We brand the event as MUSIC, SKATING & ARTS but last year the focus was on the music and not as much on the other areas of interest due to a lack of space and various other issues such as health and safety which we must take into consideration when planning any event, especially if the event is in the heart of Macclesfield on a busy Saturday.  We want to be able to offer skaters much more and ensure that we can also give the arts section of the festival the space and time that it rightfully deserves.

Further to our previous announcements we want to give you a brief overview of each area, all details are not yet finalized so you can still expect more exciting announcement to come!

MUSIC: We’ve taken your feedback and comments on board and once again we will be teaming up with a whole host of local venues in Macclesfield for evening entertainment, We are happy to announce that some of the venues from last year are back on board plus a few new ones! As for the main stage it will be bigger, better and much more exciting than ever before! As you will probably know we have already confirmed a huge variety of great acts to perform live for you and we are still in talks with other acts so you can most certainly expect a further announcement shortly with even more of the acts you love and even a few you may not have heard of!

SKATING: Some of you have been in touch to let us know that you wanted more skating this year and as always we have taken your feedback on board. The skating aspect of the festival was one of our main reasons for choosing West Park as the new location for the festival! As some of you may know West Park has a large open-plan outdoor skating area which will allow us to offer you a bigger range of entertainment, MORE COMPETITIONS, BIGGER PRIZES and most of all a bigger and better array of tricks and stunts from our skating teams! There will be sponsorship and trade stalls available within the skate area, more details on which can be found towards the bottom of this announcement should you be interested.

ARTS: Again, you’ve asked us to review this area and try to increase it’s presence at the event and we’ve listened! Whilst we are still finalizing some details on this area and aren’t quite ready to share them with you just yet you can be assured that it is going to be much, much better than it has been previously!

We are once again offering advertising packages, sponsorship packages and trade stalls at Loominus! With advertising starting at just £30 and very competitive stall rates we can assure you that we offer great value for money. Advertising and Stalls are STRICTLY LIMITED and are subject to availability. We already have several stores and advertisers confirmed so we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment if you are interested. Stalls and advertising is available in both the main area of the event and the skating area, if you wish to discuss this further with a member of the team then please send us an email to [email protected] marking the subject for the attention of our Trade team, Advertising team or Sponsorship team as appropriate.

This years festival will be a ticketed event with tickets priced at just £5 each or a family ticket for up to 2 adults and 2 children just £15. There are still a few VIP passes available but we are expecting these to sell out so would seriously suggest getting in early. Unfortunately to run an event this size we need to charge a small admission price to make sure we are committed to make the festival bigger and better each year. You will not need to purchase a ticket to get into the venues in the evening, more info on pricing and venue admission will be confirmed soon.

HATTY KEANE IS PERFORMING AT LOOMINUS FESTIVAL ON SEPTEMBER 7TH.

If you're a fan, make sure you come to Macclesfield in Cheshire for Loominus music, skating and arts festival.

It's run by a friend of mine and last year it was a huge success, but this year we're aiming even bigger.

LOOMINUS FESTIVAL NEEDS BANDS, MUSICIANS AND SINGERS!

If you want to perform at next years Loominus Festival in Macclesfield, Cheshire, all you need to do is enter the 'Battle of the Bands' competition.

This is due to the high number of people who wanted to take part last year but there simply wasn't enough space or time.

This year, the people who want to perform must take part in this competition to earn their place at the festival.

Don't hesitate to take part! It was a great success last year and it could lead to big things for you!
