so i know i said i'd have time over the summer to read your fics... that clearly did not go to plan lololol my summer and the proceeding months were so hectic omfg this has been the most eventful summer of my life in both good and bad ways!! i won't say too much but my mental health had been fluctuating and i just became so busy but funny story one of the overwhelming events was that i got crazy drunk one night lost my phone woke up in a DIFFERENT COUNTRY (neighbouring country thank fucking god) and had to find my way back home so that was fun!

AND GUESS WHO GOT TICKETS TO SEE ARTMS IN JANUARY AHHHH i got vip with the kim lip photo op i literally cannot believe it!! also my girl yves's career has been going so well the collab with THE pinkpantheress? she deserves everything and more after what she's been through and i am so glad everything is going great for her 🥹 i haven't been on social media much so i'm not sure but last time i checked hyeju deactivated insta and there was no update from looble so we are DOOMED. and i don't have anything to say about chuu but if we're talking loona i have to name drop my queen!
and yeonjun's solo album had me melting omg he is so overly fine and the music video with katseye's daniella(?) was so attractive gosh 2020 me would NOT believe you if you told me THAT would be yeonjun?? like where did the loser dripped out in a batman hoodie go 😭😭 i'll admit i'm not the biggest fan of the album but let me tell you is such a good song i love this one. and txt's new album omgomgomg ghost girl has been ON REPEAT. every time i think txt could not possibly blow me away with their music any more they prove me wrong!

Out of all the members so far choerry is my bias but it's hard to choose since all the members are pretty cool so it might change in the future. My favourite songs are stylish, love letter and girl front but i really like most of them! omg luv choerry yes !!!! picking a bias is so hard in loona and my whole list rearranges so many times (save the top spot for my Beautiful Monarch Gowon) so it’s a constant struggle that never goes away. YESS kipo omg i saw u like ethel cain so my first artms rec for u is birth!!! that song is disconcerting and dark and has that kind of gothic vibe. the music video is also gorgeous lol. artms only has one album out rn and i could really recommend the whole thing honestly, front to back it’s a masterpiece 😋 my faves are virtual angel and distress !! if ur into songs with energetic, kinda futuristic production, then hitchhikers guide to the galaxy is a good song to listen to too hehe

i would start by going through the girls’ solos! all 12 solos have music videos, and they show each of the members’ individual artistry. i can see how 12 members is a little intimidating LMAO so starting with the solos can help familiarize you with the girls one by one. then there’s the subunits: loona 1/3 (heejin, hyunjin, haseul, and vivi), odd eye circle (kimlip, jinsoul, choerry), and yyxy (yves, chuu, gowon, and hyeju). all of the albums from the subunits are really good—max & match (oec’s album) is widely considered one of the best kpop albums of all time!
it’s hard to pinpoint the exact sound of each subunit, but i’ll try! 1/3 has a softer, sweeter, polished sound. to compare them to txt, their songs are similar to the vibes of fairy of shampoo, higher than heaven, and ito. odd eye circle has a summery sound that bounces from fun and upbeat to mature and relaxed. if you like no rules, i’ll see you there tomorrow, and anti-romantic, you might like oec’s album 😚 yyxy has a cute and playful sound, which u might like if u like magic, heaven, and happily ever after.
then the fun ot12 discography dive commences!!! i honestly love all their albums. their debut ++ is so fun and super nostalgic, it brings me back to summer 2018 with every listen. xx is a phenomenal album; it’s ethereal and just transports you to a new world. some of the best production of loona’s entire discography resides on that album. the group tries a bit of a different style starting with #, which works just as well and introduces a more confident tone to loona’s songs. 12:00 is so dear to me; this is another really nostalgic album. it’s very autumn vibes for me lol. their album & is kind of all over the place lmao but it’s definitely fun. flip that is their final album as a full group, so it’s really bittersweet lol
to get to know their personalities, honestly i’d just look up loona compilations on youtube LMAO or watch some of their variety show appearances! or their vlives, they’re so funny 😭 they all have such distinct personalities so they were a very chaotic and fun group lol. a personal favorite video of mine is this choreo mafia game lol. if u want more recommendations to get to know their personalities, lmk!!!
loona were known for being an incredible performance group, so it’s totally worth it to check out some of their stages! their kcon LA set is incredible and still makes me swell with pride. they’ve done a lot of great covers, too—love battery, full moon, shake it, and sorry sorry are my favorites.

omg ok so basically my timeline with loona is a bit blurry because i knew about them a while before i became a fan. i was kinda a casual listener when i discovered them through hyunjin's solo because i LOVED i'll be there and around you. i liked kiss later and love cherry motion too but hyunjin was the only member that i really knew. but then i properly got into loona when gowon debuted since i heard one & only and i became OBSESSED with her voice and it really quickly became my fave loona solo 😭 then it was kinda a struggle between loyalty to hyunjin and just gowon really standing out to me because i always find it hard to switch biases from the member that got me into the group but deep down i KNEWWWW it was my princess gowon 😍 but also i had huge crushes on gowon hyunjin and chuu which did not help me with my struggle between them because they were just so GORGEOUS (another fun fact: i did not realise that i had crushes on them in that moment but loona ended up being my bi awakening LMFAOOOO)
anywayyy then yyxy released beauty&thebeat and my fave parts of their songs were usually gowon's lines like her part in the love4eva chorus and her "8.5 what is your signal?" in rendezvous 18.6y! and THEN hi high was released and one of my favourite parts was her line with yeojin during chuu's high note and i just couldnt deny the fact that she was my bias shes just so cutesie and silly and i adore her vocal tone!
but i love every member a lot they're fr my comfort group i'm probably slightly unhealthily attached to them Imao 😭 my reason for stanning gowon is really simple but once i fell in love with her voice i just couldn't take my attention off of her 😖 when did she become your bias? also what's your fave loona song from each subunit and ot12 i love asking this question 🙏
