LOONY BIN No. 2 (2018) • Someone just bought a print of this lovely piece and I realized that I actually never posted any good documentation of this one!! Crazy, right ? Cos it’s such a nice piece! It’s listed in the shop to buy but the only photo I’ve uploaded here is a dinky iPhone pic of it as an in-progress piece. I swear, there are so many pieces that are shoved in books and portfolios and piles that are actually really nice but life just kept on going on, and i just never got around to posting them on here! ANYWAY, about this piece: As you can see when you flip through the slides, there are two “versions” of this piece. One version is more painterly and prioritizes the drawings, and the other version is more comix-y and prioritizes the text/story. The first slide is the painterly version, and the last slide is the text version. But for all the slides in between I posted a combination of versions 1 & 2. I wanted y’all to be able to read the story as well as look at the details of the painterly version. 💕 In recent news, I’m currently working on a bunch of ❇️NEW❇️ exciting stuff so stay tuned for that! And of course I’m working on my #Fantagraphics book to be available in a year or so... so, stay tuned for that... and in 9 days I get my lump biopsy...so send positive vibes... 😬.
