Shamanism is a religion practiced by Indigenous peoples of far northern Europe and Siberia that is characterized by belief in an unseen world of gods,demons and ancestral spirits responsive only to shamans. It is a sort of practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to perceive and interact with a spirit world and channel those transcendental energies into this world. Michal's work involves the combination of abstract shape along with this age old practice through the village women who are wearing bright colored sarees.
