Alidoro x reader headcanons

First time I've ever written for him so I hope I've done well and this is for the actual Alidoro, not that damn Parrot impersonating him

(I also couldn't find a decent photo for him)

He will protect you from ANYTHING. Anything he sees as a threat, he'll protect you from it

always makes sure you're well fed and hydrated. Even if there is only enough food for one of you, he makes sure that you are the one to eat it. Nope don't even try sharing with him. he can cope with no food.

Alidoro would introduce you to his colleagues and friends and makes sure they respect you

If he ever has to leave without you then he'll make sure you're in a safe place with people he trusts

I see him finding and picking any flower he can find for you. Not much grows around Krat anymore but he still believes you deserve to have a beautiful flower before it wilts

He is your knight in (not so shining) armour, but a knight nonetheless

He has a lot of stories to tell you, about his treasure hunting, his stalker stories, and he'll gladly tell you all of them. Now he doesn't want to come off as a bragger so he might downplay his stories just a little bit

He knows he has a lot of fans but also enemies. He wishes to keep you away from both, the eager and pushy fans asking for more tales about him and the enemies that want him dead. He would do anything to keep you away from both

Don't be surprised if he keeps you as a secret, he isn't embarrassed by you at all, in fact he'd love to show you off too as many people as he could, but he also knows it's dangerous and he doesn't want to make you a prime target

I don't see him as the biggest hugger, (probably because he is so touch starved) But he won't ever make you feel bad about hugging him. He might stiffen up at first but he will get used to it

You know that horn he gave to Pinocchio? He'll do something similar for you.

Alidoro: "Blow this horn in case of emergencies. Do not worry, I will hear it from anywhere, and will come to your aid. Please be careful out there my love."

He's such an angel

His love languages would be: acts of service, and words of affirmation

his nicknames for you would be, darling, love, sweetheart, and occasionally baby

He will take of his coat every time you're cold.

He watches over you while you sleep, and when he knows he can wind down and not worry about any dangers, then he is cuddling up beside you.

Holds you while you sleep, it's probably the only time where he initiates physical touch

You'll most definitely be the one falling asleep first, I can't see him resting until you rest.

You'll wake up with his coat on top of you and himself right next to you

Fights won't usually happen, I cannot see him raising his voice at you, no matter how angry he gets.

He is the first to apologise after every fight. He can't stand you being upset, especially at him.

Sometimes he inches his hand closer to yours, wanting to hold your hand in his, but his pride will get to him and he'll move it away. Just grab his hand and he'll be sweet

Seeing the REAL Alidoro makes me mourn him so greatly. He was so kind, gentle, LOYAL like the dog head he wore represented. He was awesome, I really wish we could've gotten more story with him involving Eugenie.

But a more happier ending for him where he isn’t on the run and has to hide his true identity

He introduces you to his sister and hopes that the both of you get along

He listens to music with and always gets you new records

He tells your stories about his home and his life before Krat

Alidoro would so bring you back to his home country

He would love to travel the world with you

Imagine walking the beach with him while holding hands

So I've seen a lot of fanart of what Alidoro would look like underneath his mask and he has long hair (amazing fanart btw) now that I've stated this

Imagine styling his hair for him! Like brushing it out and braiding it for him, maybe even put it in a bun so it doesn't get in his way when he's fighting

Eugenie third wheels your dates. Don't worry not all the time but when she does she makes it entertaining so it's not awkward

Alidoro loves your voice and always asks you to tell him stories about your life

He talks to you about the future with him, about dreams he has but also keeping it realistic and saying there's chances where he could die, ect.

(Like stop Alidoro 😭 talk about the future where you don't die)

I imagine him being a really good cook, so he definitely cooks you food

He always brings you a souvenir every time he comes back to you, big and small

He'll sometimes ask you if you have any requests for what gift you want

(Like Cinderella's and Belle's father in the live actions!)

He deserved to live. Seriously why does lop have to make every cool character die?

False promises

This is spoilers for the base game and possible spoilers for overture

"Stay at the hotel my love, I promise. I will return."

It has been longer than days, weeks, months. Maybe even years since he last told you to stay put at the hotel.

You've wanted to leave but knew it was too dangerous. You weren't a fighter, no he was the one that fought for the both of you. How you missed his voice, his smell, the smile he always had every time he saw you, you missed him. You are aware that he is a hero, One of Krat's most famous. But sometimes you wished he was only your hero. He knew you were safe, so why go out and rescue others when he has you in a safe place?

You were thankful for that puppet, knowing he'd take your request, you asked him to look for your lover, to look for the man that made that promise before he disappeared.

When he returned, you could see behind him a figure with a dog mask. The one you fell in love with so many years ago. He came back to you.

"Alidoro..?"

"Yes that is me. Do I know-"

"Oh Alidoro, how I've missed you! I waited here for you, after all those years I stayed. I knew you'd always come-"

"Look, I know you're a fan of me but please, personal space. I just got here."

"Alidoro, it's me... Don't you remember?"

"Oh.. of course! How could I forget who you are! If you'll excuse me"

That wasn't him. You could tell instantly. He wasn't the Alidoro that would drop everything and bring you into a hug, that wasn't the man who made sure you were his first priority, even if he was badly injured he would always make sure you were okay.

And this man, wasn't Alidoro. After all, he didn't even know your name. Didn't bring you into a hug, didn't remember your smell, your voice. The real Alidoro would know you by a mile. He would remember every detail about you, no matter how many years passed, he will never forget about you.

Your heart felt heavy, too heavy. Ever since that man walked in, you knew he was dead. All those promises he made you, gone. As if they were a flower that wilted away. You didn't have the heart to tell Eugenie, how could you? She was elated to have her saviour at the hotel. Though sometimes you wondered if she knew too. If she knew that this Alidoro wasn't her saviour, wasn't your lover, wasn't who he says to be. Then how would she react? The same as you? Shocked, sad, confused? These thoughts always pondered your head. How you wish someone could understand your pain.

It's hard mourning someone who had your whole heart, especially when you have an imposter pretending to be the man you fell in love with.

It's the first time I've written a one shot so go easy.

I'm so sorry if it's not the best :( oneshots aren't my strongest suit. But I always had this idea in the back of my head so I tried bringing it to life! I hope it turned out well. I spent a good time editing and taking out a lot of writing. Honestly, if I spent longer on this then I would've taken everything out and given you guys 2 sentences. Ok enough blabbering, hope you enjoyed :)
