Leonard: “I’ve never really thought of touring as a musical event. It was life on the road. It was temptation. It was drinking, camaraderie; it was the feeling of being in a motorcycle gang. There was that aspect to it which simply doesn’t figure now.
The music became really important on this tour. I was able to see that these songs really do move, and you can enter them, and there really is a place to live in them, and a place to move in them.”
