location: party being hosted at a wizarding club
“And that’s all, folks. Thank you,” Lorcan said, speaking into the enchanted mic that was echoing his voice around the room. People clapped politely in response and he bowed his head, smiling despite the glare from the bright lights overhead. As much as he loved performing, he was relieved to be done for the night. It had been a long day that spilled into a long night that might even have spilled into tomorrow. He hadn’t checked the time, he just knew he was done because the manager of the place was tapping his fake watch on his wrist.
Lorcan stepped off the small stage, carefully maneuvering his guitar so it didn’t hit anyone as he walked. He accepted a few tips and kindly tapped a server who was passing, asking for a coffee. He was definitely going to have to be energized.
While waiting, he sat down at an empty table. Everyone around him was dancing and partying, as other music began to play. Lorcan was content to be alone. Well, until he wasn’t. He looked up, sensing someone’s presence around him, and he knew the server couldn’t have gotten his coffee that fast.
