"Impossible? Do you think we'd be here bothering offering if it was impossible?" he said, watching her cling to that broom. He reached out, wrapping his fingers around it to try and take it from her and toss down the hall away from them. "If they've got you sweeping what sort of family are they~ Will they even really miss you or notice you're gone?" he asked. As she looked down a strand of his long hair moved, touching her chin and pushing her face up.

“Even if they wouldn’t...”  She shook off the thought, trying not to let the weakness she felt get to her.  Her family still loved her.  

Kourin glanced up with his gesture, paying the broom no mind but curiously observing the stranger that had her attention, “What is it you’re supposed to be offering?  Who are you?”  She would at least hear him out, not certain how he’d come to know of these things without being a resident of Rakushou.
