I can play things by ear! Like... I can't make a full fledged amazing interpretation of what I can hear, but I can plunk out the melody. I also harmonize with a lot of things I'll hear, including car alarms;;;
Indeed! My passion above all else is music. I started off a little bit lost with it; my friend knew a bit of piano and I kind of took up piano lessons on a whim. But as I grew musically and initially through piano only, many other opportunities to expand my musical growth sprung, and I eventually took up singing, violin, guitar, and flute. Of course, with all of these, I didn't know how far I'd get with it, but now all I can say is that I don't ever regret taking up music. It's been such a great help for me through life so far and I hope it continues to be so. I've been able to express myself freely through the music I send forth (which is huge considering I'm not very verbal). I feel like it's such an important element in life; it's so beautiful because there isn't a particular level of understanding needed to understand music. Even just hearing a song, you can be conveyed emotions, get a message, and even be told a story. It's a language in itself. I'm just so happy that I make and hear music every day in my life because to me, it's truly a blessing.
