THAT IS A BLACK PARADE JACKET
Where does it say that aymeric like birch syrup? Not accusing just curious!
No worries, sometimes you want to differentiate between canon and fanon details. The instance of Aymeric liking birch syrup has been mentioned 3 times, 2 within the game and once more in the first lore book. It seems that Lucia is the one that has picked up on the details as she is the one that imports the bottles that he enjoys.
So which gene is dominant? Say a hybrid is born, will they have abide by Dhaj's rule of creation or God's? Organs or not? Or is it depending on which race the mother is?
Xumans have the internal structure of a Xulian, because even the God-given genes agrees that Dhaj optimized the process better what with the no organs thing, however, xumans also get souls! The God-exclusive trait, so the xuman receives both mana and xala.
Because the xuman has a soul, they may accept Xulian sensibilities in full while reject all of humans’, but said soul will still be dragged over to God when they die. (Xulians don’t have souls, so they just cease to be. ...Dhaj and God have aggressively different stances on how to manage their creations.)
Why JadeTigress? Any meaning behind the name? Did it just sound cool?
Backstory Unlocked: I really fucking love big cats you know?? Like I also love wolves but my older sister loves wolves and as a child I was like “I CANNOT like the same thing as her,” so I latched onto big cats as my favorite animals instead. So a lot of my early usernames and stuff were some variation of Tigress. And here we are. (Jade just reminded me of those jade statues.)
ok wait this whole time on the podium is the keposhka for R which is the hanged man symbol
and now Gerard is referencing tarot cards when he's posing in the chalk line
but the reverse R is there too, and you can read tarot as upright or reversed
im connecting the dots im connecting them
some lore thoughts
The more i think about it I really think this second tour is a prequel to the first. Examining Sylvia's role is convincing me.
Sylvia performs twice in the first tour, in Boston and Atlanta. In Boston during Mama, Gerard says "Sylvia! It's so nice to see you again!"
Marianne was the performer up until this point, so we didn't have context for this line at all until now. But I think Gerard remembers Sylvia from the medical staff in the Moat. In Atlanta he says "She loves to sing, Sylvia." He's already familiar with her singing.
Within the context of the story, tour 2 isn't really a performance for an audience, as tour 1 was. We're getting a glimpse into the goings on of a medical facility that is reconditioning the band into being perfect performers (the band taking medicine, being monitored by the eyeball, etc.) Sylvia is there, but she's dressed as one of the nurses rather than in her fancy red dress from tour 1. When she sings, she's not performing for an audience, she's singing along with subject/patient Gerard.
In São Paulo n1 at the end of Mama, Gerard hands Sylvia the dagger and wails "You can have it back, I don't want it anymore!" He's been playing; he recites a joke routine to a laugh track and does a "magic trick", and it feels to me like Sylvia's humoring him by singing along until he tires himself out. She takes the dagger from him and walks off.
That laugh track too, plus the clapping audience visuals on the stage screens, implies to me that we the audience are not there in the story in this moment. I wouldn't be surprised if all of that was diegetic to the rest of the characters, not just Gerard, and is a part of the retraining.
I wish there were clearer photos of Charlie's costumes, because I just noticed that during Blood he's wearing a jacket? with faint pinstripes, reminiscent of the Clerk's suit during the first leg. But during the rest of the show I don't think he's wearing it?
What if that detail plays into why Gerard stabs Charlie at the end, even though it seems they get along together during the rest of the set when they are playing games and dancing?
The number id tags are different too: the one on the jacket during Blood looks like the number is actually written in blood, instead of printed.
ok ok wait this just occurred to me
the Mexico tour announcement video: "On suggestion of his Grand Immortal Dictator, the Cabinet of Operatic Retaliations has seen it just to send The Black Parade back to the soil of their untimely expiration."
IF this leg of the tour is a prequel, what will it mean for the next two shows in Mexico??? So far the setting of this leg seems to be within the Moat; the band isn't "performing" in canon for an audience, as they were in leg 1.
So if the dictator wants to send them back to Mexico to perform, will we see a return of the leg one aesthetics and outfits? Will the Mexico shows be the first in the timeline before the NA tour, when the band is fresh out of the Moat???
Is the band approved for release now? And tonight in Colombia, Gerard had a skull with him on stage. Quite the omen for things to come...
(or is this just a tour announcement video and I shouldn't read too far into it lol)
