Some thoughts on Bigb today -
I like Bigb from a lore perspective, because he's just so different than everybody else that it makes for something really interesting to play around with. I've been playing a lot with the idea of Speakers recently, as a 3rd part to the Watcher/Listener council, which is something Martyn's touched on but not really explored (correct me if I'm wrong). I like the idea that Bigb is in fact one of these Speakers, that his motives are unknown but that he was one from the start, which is why he was able to escape Evo unharmed, and also just sort of disappears after each life series (I believe it's the only minecraft content he makes now), which is something none of the other players do.
I also like the idea the no one knows. Not even Grian, though he can sort of sense that something's up with Bigb - but no one apart from real council members even know of the Speaker's existence. What the council even is remains a mystery (and I like it that way), but Bigb being this sort of strange, removed entity, that could leave the games whenever he wanted, but either doesn't care or is good at acting or has some other reason for being there, is a cool concept. I think he also genuinely does care about the others, and his friendship with Grian is actually so sweet (I want to see them team up for real tbh).
He's also just so good at being mysterious. Maybe he looks over the players when the games are done, maybe he doesn't. He's never mentioned in Hermitcraft. Grian doesn't look for him outside the games, he knows he won't find him. He's this intriguing third piece to the story that I just know will have some relevancy one day, we just need to wait for it. Whatever it is, he's good at playing it, and it's fun to kind of work in all the little details to form a bigger picture. He's often alone. He had the strange, red tasks in Secret life. He lies and gaslights players for no reason. He's at the same time hilarious and friendly and has no murderous intent. He's not particularly affected by turning red. His whole thing with the Creakings. He dies early on pretty consistently - perhaps intentionally leaving the games before things get too intense. What a Speaker even is we don't know. But I love Bigb, and I love thinking about it.
