Writing Requests

Formats:

Headcanon (bullet points), drabbles, oneshots, and maybe multi-chapter (*Exception #2).

I am open to trying more formats upon request.

What I write:

AUs • canon • headcanon • crossover

Horror • Romance • Crack • Suggestive + More

For romance: I will write self-insert, oc, WLW/MLM, genderbend, etc. as long as it does not clash with the criteria below.

*Ortho and other child characters will never be written in romantic or suggestive context, even if you request "age-up".

For suggestive: I will write for characters who I perceive as adults. Do not try to bargain with me if I do not accept a suggestive request based on character choice.

*With Twisted Wonderland, I go by NA college ages. Future AUs/AUs where the characters would be adults are also acceptable.

**I will not write suggestive for the ribbon squad (Riddle/Epel/Lilia).

Will NOT write:

Darkships (incest/age gap/etc. —soft yandere is fine), smut (I am just not good at writing smut), heavy gore, confusing series/characters than I am not familiar with, and long stories.

Exception #1:

I may decide to put more time into learning confusing series/characters to write them if I am interested.

Exception #2:

I will write long stories if I find the basis to be interesting. This is more likely to happen within my main fandoms.

Character Requests

⚠️ Please remember to use characters for private use only. Do not use chatbots to write works of fiction for yourself then claim it as your own. Using it for inspiration is fine, please try to be considerate of other writers.

Requests are for Loremate and Xoul. I only use sites from indie developers who have shown their source of income and do not sell data. As a result, sites may be off and on.

Formats:

I will gladly do AUs, canon, and headcanon. I will create scenarios and characters.

Will NOT create:

Darkships, IRL figures, confusing series/characters that I am not familiar with.

I will restate: any messages are fine—except asking for personal information, darkships (mentioned above), or unconstructive criticism.

I will not sit there and argue with you if I feel uncomfortable with your topics. I block on sight. Do not drag drama onto my blog.

I am entitled to my opinions, and you are entitled to yours. Keep to your own space if you do not agree with my preferences.

How it feels to be part of Loremate

When Abhishek asked me to write this post, he wasn’t very clear about it. I didn’t understand what he wanted exactly, until he just put it bluntly: “How does it feel to be a part of Loremate?” Hmmm. Let me think about it, Abhishek. This post is so long overdue that I guess you won’t mind waiting a few moments more!

So. Lemme start at the beginning. A friend of mine told me about Loremate.com when I was hankering after him for notes about some subject. I googled Loremate.com. I have to admit, I was pretty surprised to see notes for every insufferable subject we engineers have to suffer through. I also went through the Loreblog- the earlier version of it (the site’s updated now, and looks nothing like it used to before!)- and started reading the posts. Now I don’t know who the writer for Loremate was then, but I knew that most posts were by Abhishek himself. And they were damn funny at that. Honest, funny writing- exactly the way I like it! I kept reading posts for an hour or so, till I saw this message at the corner saying “Do YOU want to write for Loremate?” I don’t know why I sent in an old post of mine- was on an impulse really, but it was the best thing I did.

I got a call from Amandeep Singh (co-founder of Loremate, not a part of it now though- v.sadly) the next day. He asked me general questions and told me he liked my post too, and Loremate was interested in taking me on as a writer for their team. Anyway, I got through that and a few emails later, I got my own column at Loremate!

It’s been almost four months now, I guess. And now I come to Abhishek’s question. What it is like being a part of his company. It is wonderful, really. He isn’t the bossy kind- I don't think he'd even know how to boss anyone around. The whole route we follow before a post goes up on Loreblog- coming up with an idea, throwing around a few opinions here and there, submitting something, you giving me your opinion, a few more corrections, and finally putting it up! That is how work is at start-ups. Everything is at a smaller scale in the beginning, except the payoff in satisfaction when we start achieving our dream for the company- a little bit more each time. It is amazing to see my photo up there, my name, and more importantly my posts. And you know what; it makes my parents damn proud too.

    Working for Loremate isn’t working really. Too cheesy? Alright. I won’t follow that tangent. But working for Loremate really is everything I just told you and everything I didn’t too. If you’re thinking about joining Loremate, think no more. Like the honchos at Nike said: just do it!

In fact, Loremate.com is looking for people who are ready to spend a small part of their life making life easier for crazy/stupid engineers like me! So… are you up for it?  

(And if the sentimental factor doesn’t work out either for you, lemme tell you, it has its perks too: like the headphones mounted on my head, while I write this post!)
