i’ve been playing hogwarts mystery and child-witch-me can’t have my hairstyle except in drawing form but nevertheless, dreams are coming true

okay, sure, mysterious stranger. you’ve given me free rein, right? so here we go.

karen plankton (role of jenna) is a master pie maker working in eugene’s diner and living a boring life with her hopeless, pathetic layabout husband sheldon (role of earl.) when she discovers she is pregnant, she’s not at all happy ‘til she meets her pre-natal yoga instructor, larry lobstowski (role of dr. pomatter) and they start a saucy little affair.

let it be said here and now i don’t ship karen and larry at all, but the joke made by the actors of these characters being married (they are not) inspired me to make these choices. also, i thought about making larry a gyno, but i thought pre-natal yoga instructor worked better 😂 let it be said i love plankton and i certainly couldn’t place sheldon in a role quite like earl (so i didn’t draw him), and since in the musical clearly karen and sheldon love each other, but... well. anyway. i thought it would be fun just for this AU.

other characters are... sandy (role of becky) a co-worker of karen’s who’s sleeping with the cook, patrick (role of cal), and mindy (role of dawn) (i fused the appearances of ensemble ‘merlina’ and mindy from the cartoon movie for this) who is in love with bobby (role of ogie) (also i really think in this case the actor would be great for the actual role in ‘waitress’).

anyway...i probably put way too much time and effort into this. thanks for the idea though, mysterious stranger!

its been a couple months but im still thinking about when i went to see baghdaddy the musical and, well, i’d heard the song music to me enough to know it wasnt probably the cheeriest of love songs, but BOY was it ever emotional seeing it performed right in front of me. i very nearly cried. in the scene, jerry has just made a big mistake on purpose for the sake of berry (the girl’s) potential success. and i don’t usually go for these ‘oh why dont you love me’ type characters but damn that ethan slater can really make it work!
