“I didn’t mean to hurt you.” (idek)
She would have doubted him even without the sarcasm dripping from his voice. Lorgan Nott did not do anything he didn’t mean. Daisy may not have been closely acquainted with him but this was something that she knew without a doubt as truth. He did not just want to hurt her– he gained some sort of sick pleasure from other’s pain and discomfort. Especially if it was hers. It may have been that he only enjoyed it if it was hers. The redhead did not understand why this was; She never hoped to. She would rather live in ignorance than to taint herself with even more darkness than the world had already done. She wanted to hold on to the crack of light that shined through her porcelain skin.
This game he played with her started on their first encounter. He had caught her at a time when her walls were down. The stone she had put up had just gone through a hurricane. It was more like a drizzle, but her walls were so thinly built it had the same effect. How naive she was to think they were impenetrable. He had made her uncomfortable– pushed her limits until she nearly begged him to stop. But Daisy still had some pride left. She didn’t beg then and she had not begged for him to stop at any other time.
But he kept pushing.
Daisy could only hold on for so long. The rope she held on to was unraveling– but it had not been completely severed.
She would not beg now ( but she would soon ).
“You did. You always do.”
