You've been visited by the random OC question fairy! :D ~☆
Has your character ever been personally wronged in the past? Would/are they quick to forgive? How has this incident affected them?
Hello, random OC question fairy! It's so nice to meet you~ Thank you for dropping in! 💕
I'll answer for Lori, if that's okay?
She has indeed been wronged in the past, very personally and more than once 😔
She... is quick to forgive, but never quick to forget. If someone has wronged her she will remember it.
A lot of the time she takes being wronged to heart, and thanks to her past experiences, a lot of the time places the blame for being wronged in the first place on herself.
Lori hmm... How about a little bit about life plans?
🖋 When she was younger, Lori dreamed of being a homemaker and a mother. She wanted the whole stay at home mum thing; to marry someone she loved and raise a family with them. She took her degree just because it interested her rather than actually planning for a career but over time, as... events... happened, her plans and dreams changed. And now, she's her father's successor 😊
Before I settle down with a movie to hopefully rest; that patreon Valentine's special man. Have to state for my record what my A routes did.
(readmore to not clog anyones dash with my nonsense haha)
Aria (my only "canon" A-mance): Went on a lovely date with Mrs McCarthy's grandson. She's very close to the woman, despite the rumours in some circles that she's a witch, and couldn't deny her when she wanted to set her up with her grandson. She really did have a lovely time... even if her the words 'tu omnia' were swimming in her head for most of it.
Lori: Went on a blind date arranged by a friend from the city. She had a wonderful time~ Good food, a nice night out, and charming company even if there was no spark; after all... she was floating on cloud nine, having left her heart all secure in what she sees as a starting attempt at reaching out past the walls.
Adri: Forced onto a date by Tina with a promise to behave... The date went about as well as expected for an unwilling Adrien with thoughts of someone else in his mind. He was truly prepared to be good for Tina's sake... the card was... a blow.
Lea: ... n/a I don't play A's route with Layton 😅 But for fairness sake, it would likely have just been a friend date with Tina that she encouraged him not to be specific about for Tina reasons. 😌
Sunset - it signals the end of the day, the time to calm from the excitement (or stress haha) and retire to bed. (It also means she doesn't have to get up early on her day off to witness it.)
11. Coziness or opulence?
I feel like if asked she'd pout and ask 'why not both?' 🤣 After all, opulence and coziness are in the eye of the beholder - for some opulence is indeed coziness. If she had to choose though, it'd likely be the comfort of cosiness. 😌
27. Past or future?
Future, with no hesitation. Yes, the past makes her who she is, but denial is also very much a part of her. She'd like to simply move on and move forwards from the past, and that's always easier when there's something to look forward to.
#36 from the angst prompt list - any pairing you want!
Hello dear~ Apologies for this taking so long!! I won't apologise for the drama and angst though, as that's a part of the prompt haha 😉💕 Thank you for all your prompts, I hope you like it! 💕
Prompt(s): "They warned me about this." "About what?" "About you." & "Don't tell me to calm down!" (Prompt Lists #1 and #2)
Pairing: f!detective (Leina Lin) X f!M (Morgan)
Note: So... this happened. Don't ask me what they're fighting about, I have no idea and neither do they. I could say I also don't know why it escalated so quickly and so much, but really Lori is impulsive, emotional and very much a hothead at times. That clashes quite a bit with Morgan during any of her playthroughs, despite their improving relationship over time.
Warning: there is a fair deal of swearing here
Additional Note: I am attributing any mischaracterisations to them both being very wound up, frustrated and angry af. And boy am I looking forwards to how the post-bakery stuff plays out in Lori's playthrough with Morgan... because my girl is a Queen of plastering on a smile and bottling things up until the bottle explodes.

Morgan sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose in a weak effort to calm the headache that's been building since they started fighting. At this point she can't even remember why Lori's so mad in the first place; she doubts Lori remembers either.
"Look, would you just calm down?"
The request has the opposite effect.
"Don't tell me to calm down! You do not get to decide how calm I am."
Morgan growls; she can feel the tension coiling between them. They're both wound tight ready to snap, though her little miss sunshine is clearly already snapping.
"Oh for- I am not trying to decide anything for you." Even in her anger, the accusation that she'd take away her free will is more than annoying... it stings.
"Good, because it's not your place."
Morgan bites back the 'I know', swallowing the growl that wants to escape as she lets her continue.
"If I want to be angry, I will be! We're just 'seeing each other naked', right? That's all it is. So you do not have any right to-" and the growl escapes. Fully pissed, Morgan steps up into her space.
"Are you still fucking on about that? You said you weren't bothered, sweetheart. Or did you conveniently forget that?" The thought that she'd lied burns the back of her mind something fierce... Why does it burn?
"Just because I said it doesn't mean I meant it!" She's not cowed in the slightest, returning Morgan's steel glare with a raging tempest of her own. "I thought you were supposed to be amazing at telling when people are lying."
So she did lie to her.
"I. am."
The accusation that she's not good at her job- no. The accusation that she can't read her specifically, doesn't know her... it hurts.
She knows what she should do, knows what Nate would do. She should admit it bothered her too and defuse the situation. They should sit down and just talk out whatever the fuck is going on here.
But Morgan is not Nate... and that's not what she does.
"So, maybe that genuine mask you wear only exists because you're an amazing liar."
She doesn't talk... she lashes out.
"Maybe, you're actually just a manipulative shrew who wears it so fucking often that you're a damn pro at spouting lies along with all your cheery bullshit?"
Both of them catch the moment she breaks, the moment the anger flees, though neither want to acknowledge it. The instant urge to take it all back is near overwhelming as Lori draws her arms around herself, but she speaks before Morgan can even try, a deflated weariness coating her soft tone.
"They warned me about this."
"About what?" she questions, confusion the only thing colouring the response.
"About you."
The unexpected, and unveiled, disgust in her tone jolts Morgan back to when they first met... and she hates it.
"And yet-" she growls "-you fucked me anyway." She couldn't stop the words as they left her lips. They were words meant to hurt, intended to hurt, but all they seem to do is make the storm in her eyes renew.
"Because I foolishly thought that there was more."
Morgan swallows the question of what she means, though she needn't have bothered. There was no need to question a statement that Lori had no intention of not clarifying.
"I, in my naive wisdome, thought that maybe you weren't just a callous bitch with nothing but sex on your mind."
Morgan scoffs with derision, a sneer firmly set on her lips, though a more painful heat slowly builds deep in her core.
"Oh and what, sweetheart-" the nickname is dripping with mockery in a way it hasn't been for a long time. "You thought your love would change me?"
Lori hugs herself tighter, a facsimile of comfort that doesn't appear to help. Morgan can only watch as she starts to close herself off and it takes everything she has to ignore the sudden desire to reach out.
"Not in the slightest."
The response almost makes her flinch. Lori's eyes have gone cold, hardened and frigid, yet there remains an openess to her features. Morgan subconsciously braces herself, acutely aware that, unlike that moment, whatever she plans to say, she means.
"I thought there was more to you than that surface level persona. But more than that... I thought we were at least friends."
The word has morgan furrowing her brow, a horrid feeling beginning to claw at her throat.
"I guess I really was just projecting, huh? So, fine. I'll admit it, sunshine-" There's no teasing in the nickname, not even any trace of returned mocking... only hurt. Morgan hates that it only makes the clawing worse. "-I was wrong. Wrong about the situation, wrong about you... about you and me... just... completely wrong about everything."
All traces of heat have been snuffed out, leaving nothing but ice in its wake. Morgan takes a step closer, a sudden, unintentional pleading in her eyes; Lori takes a step back.
"Lorelei-" Lori holds up her hand, stopping whatever she was trying to say.
"I'm going home."
For once the fight has left her completely; the unfamiliar fatigue in her drained voice sending a bleak shudder through Morgan as the small blonde, somehow far smaller than she should be, turns to leave.
"Leina-"
The chill only seeps deeper when Lori continues as if she hadn't spoke.
"I'll tell the others; so you can just... do whatever you want."
Morgan's eyes remain fixed on her back as she leaves, her fist clenching tighter as the constricting feeling in her chest only grows. The final whisper that reaches Morgan before she closes the door feels like a physical blow.
"You always do."
It takes the sounds of the slamming door and retreating footsteps for her to identify what it is - regret... and fear. She growls, the shaking of her hands making grabbing a cigarette far harder than she needs it to be. She only hopes Nate'll have the advice she needs. Whatever it means or doesn't mean doesn't matter; all she knows is she doesn't want to lose her, not like this... She can't.

Lori has two words that really hit her hard; selfish and manipulative. They trigger strong, and painful, emotions she doesn't care for and would prefer didn't exist... 😔
Thank you very much if you’ve made it this far! I hope it wasn’t too much of a chore! Thank you, truly, for your time 💕
Thank you for asking hun, I'm always more than happy to provide my ramblings to you 💕 I hope you don't mind me providing you the special key that unlocks a little Kingston backstory 💕
🖋 Adrien is actually a divorcee and never thought he'd ever want to get married again, even though he remains close friends with his ex-wife and there's no bad blood between them at all. He was the best man, and even gave her away, at her wedding to her new husband.
🖋 Lori draws inspiration from many designers, though very rarely pays attention to the designers themselves instead focusing on their work. Phillipa Lepley and Monique Lhuillier are two of her top favourite designers as their styles resonate with her own.
🖊 For any of your OCs. I just want to read something about them ✨
Oh boy, Jay, (lovely to have you here btw, thank you for asking! 💕) you're giving me a lot of freedom here... Maybe a little fact about each of them then? 🤔
🖋 Aria has written 'Ariana du Mortain' more times than she cares to admit. Never consciously though! The lovesick doodles of their names together in the margins make her feel like a hopeless teenager and she really dislikes it - it's embarrassing and in her opinion, rather pathetic to be pining the way she is.
🖋 (preface) Lori enjoys designing; interior, floral and fashion. 🖋 (actual) Since they met that first day in the office, Farah has featured in a LOT of her doodles and clothing designs - she enjoys designing outfits inspired by her and/or that would look good on her. She enjoys sketching her in general too.
🖋 Lea's favourite game series is Kingdom Hearts. He wouldn't say jrpgs are his favourite genre, but the KH series is definitely his favourite overall. He played the first as a child when it came out and has been hooked ever since. He even owns a few replica keyblades.
🖋 Adri claims to have nothing against horses, says they're simply not for him. The truth is... he actually loved horses as a child but was very disappointed, heartbroken even, when he didn't get his soulmate horsey connection like in the movies. It still bites to this day that he never met his special horse at age 9.
“okay it was me… so?” with Lori please? (If you want, no pressure 😊)
Soso! Thank you so much for sending me a prompt, dear 💕 I'm so sorry this took so long! It really did just run away with me 🤣
The tale continues under the cut~ I hope you like it! 💕
I can also only apologise for how sulky I made Nate and for any other errors in this unbeta'd answer 😅
(Though I'm happy to take them from anywhere, this prompt was specifically from: 5 words prompts)

Normally Lorelei would never be opposed to having Nate’s undivided attention, but the eyes he’s been giving her since he arrived are not the kind of eyes she likes. It’s not like Nate to sulk, and yet that is the feeling radiating from his presence in the corner of her office.
“Darling, please,” she puts down her pen, meeting his pouting with her own. “This is getting ridiculous. Can you just tell me what I’ve done?”
She raises a single unamused eyebrow at his retort, though his instant cringe coupled with a sigh deems it unnecessary.
“I don’t know, can you tell me what you’ve done?”
“I apologise, that was…”
He sighs again, likely an attempt to stall time to put his thoughts into words. Her raised brow doesn’t drop.
“You know,” he settles on. “Farah received a gift last night.”
Lori picks her pen back up and returns to the paper on her desk, humming thoughtfully… innocently…
“Oh, did she?”
“Yes, she did. A painting, left in her room, of her mother.”
His gaze burns her with its accusatory heat, though she refuses to look up to meet it.
“And… did she like it?”
The hesitancy behind her question makes it far more suspicious than it is.
“She loves it. She’s been smiling all morning, in fact.” Nate can practically feel her satisfaction at the news, even without witnessing her bright smile. “Adam and I, however, are highly concerned.”
“What?” Confusion causes her smile to drop as she swings around to question him. His casualness is suspicious, but his face is schooled so well there’s no way for her to tell whether he knows or just suspects. She can’t even tell if he has any idea at all and, underneath her confusion, her vexation with him grows. “Why?”
He waves away her questions, shrugging them off as if the answer should be obvious.
“Because an unidentified person entered our place of residence, our private living space, our secure home, without permission.” She forces her eye not to twitch as he emphasises each descriptor in a very, very pointed way. “Don’t you agree we should be concerned about that, Leina?”
She doesn’t like that look in his eye, not one bit. He’s not asking her… he’s challenging her. He knows. But he should also know very well that she doesn’t rise to bait like that, Mr. Sewell.
“Well,” she taps her chin and pouts in thought. “Given that nothing was left out of place, for I have no doubt you and Adam were very thorough in checking, I wouldn’t assume any negative intent. Especially given all that occurred was the leaving of the portrait. Therefore, no, I wouldn’t be concerned unless something malicious happened or it became common occurrence.”
She confidently meets his challenging gaze with her own, the sharpness of her smile only increasing when he crosses his arms in displeasure.
“And yet, it was still an unauthorised intrusion. An invasion by a person of who’s identity we are completely unaware-“
She groans, the fact that he was unwilling to let the matter go finally sinking in fully.
“Why are we doing this whole song and dance, Nathaniel? You clearly already know.”
She catches the frustrating smirk before he has a chance to stop it. She loves the man, but she’s not sure how she feels about this attitude on Nate.
“We do know, yes.” He admits. “But it would be nice if you actually stopped trying to hide it.”
“Okay, it was me…” she folds her arms. “So?”
The streak of confusion that crossed his face at her casual response was unexpected. His answering question even more so.
“So? Lori, why wouldn’t you just tell her?”
“Why would I? It’s not as if I painted it for attention. When we were talking a little while back, she told me about her mum and-” she trails off sadly, toying with the sleeves of her cardigan as she takes a moment to consider how to continue. “She clearly misses her. And while I try not to go all counsellor on you all, I know a lot of people dealing with loss like that struggle with worries of forgetting so… I just thought that maybe I could at least help with that bit. Even just a little.”
His gaze has softened since she last looked at him, his unfamiliar though welcome empathy and understanding being both something she adores and something that makes her feel far too seen.
“It’s not like it’s a big thing-“
“It bothers her, Leina.”
Her blood runs cold despite the gentleness of his delivery, a sudden doubt forcing her out of her chair.
“It does?! No, no no no, that wasn’t supposed to happen! It was supposed to make her happy, I thought it would make her happy! You said she loves it! I-“
In a second Nate is by her side, her hands in his, concern etched on his features as he strokes calming circles onto her palm; he’d misstepped in his attempt to encourage honesty... sending her into a panic was not the goal.
“No! No, it does make her happy. Very, very happy. But it bothers her that she doesn’t know who to thank.”
The noise she releases is a frustrated mix of annoyance, relief, and confusion.
“Nate… she doesn’t need to thank me. I did it for her, not to be thanked.”
“I know, my love, I know. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to express her gratitude anyway.”
He runs his hands over her arms soothingly as she considers his words.
“I can’t just… send her an anonymous note saying it was a gift and she doesn’t need to worry about thanking me?”
“Leina.”
The chastising tone causes her to roll her eyes, blowing a strand of her hair away from her face with a huff.
“Fine, you’re right. I know you are.” She can’t help but smile herself as a satisfied smile finally takes form on his lips. “I just… I’ll talk to her and tell her it was me.”
He places a kiss on her cheek, his smile not dimming a bit.
“Thank you. You know, Adam won’t admit it but he had doubts that it was actually you… it’s been driving him crazy that he couldn’t say for certain.”
Much to his pleasure, she giggles at the knowledge like he’d hoped.
“Oh, so the great Adam du Mortain didn’t know… but you did?” she teases.
He reaches up to tuck a lock of her hair behind her ear before settling on cupping her cheek in his hand.
“You sign every painting with your name in hanzi inside a tulip. It’s on the hem of her left sleeve.” She tries to ignore the rush of affection that swirls in her chest at the revelation that he noticed her signature, forcing herself to focus instead on the touch of sadness on display in his eyes. “I did hope that you’d tell us though. That you’d tell me at least.”
She places her hand over his as he strokes her cheek lightly with his thumb. Offering an apologetic smile with her explanation.
“I really wasn’t seeking any credit, or any acknowledgment at all in fact. I only added my signature on instinct and then just didn’t want to risk ruining the painting by covering it.”
He nods in understanding, though the meaningful look he levels her way gives her pause.
“Well, I, for one, am glad you didn’t. It was reassuring, to me at least, to know we didn’t have our home broken into by a stranger who leaves paintings of lost family members.”
She groans in resignation, playfully rolling her eyes at the obviousness of what his tone’s angling for.
“Ugh, fine. I’ll confess to du Morte too.”
Nate chuckles, placing a light kiss on the top of her head.
“And Morgan?”
She looks away shiftily, the resounding silence and refusal to meet his eye causing a dawning realisation. Morgan hadn’t seemed concerned in the slightest when he and Adam had brought it up.
Lorelei had been wrong; she knows that know - Nate hadn’t been sulking before...
